Sales of cars in France grew by 0.6% in January compared to the same month last year. The announcement this morning, the CCFA (French Automobile Manufacturers Committee) which stated that the machines registered in the first month of the year were 192,268. Overall, 2001 on the car market has grown by 6%. Peugeot’s sales grew 11, 3%, while that of the partner Citroen remained stable. Slightly down, however, the turnover of Renault, which has sold 0.2% fewer cars. Any decline in foreign carmakers, General Motors reported a sharp retreat in France of its sales equal to 25.6%, 9.2% of Volkswagen, Fiat, 1, 9%, while Ford reported a fall of 0 , 3%.
